World Encephalitis Day is around the corner, and the theme for 2021 is Lights, Camera, Action!
Lights – Light up a local landmark Red for WED
Camera – Wear Red for WED
Actions – Raise Awareness
The Encephalitis Society launched World Encephalitis Day in 2014 and, in the years since has reached 187 million people. It is a great moment to raise awareness for autoimmune encephalitis, sharing your journeys and making our voices heard.
In 2021 the Encephalitis Society asks you to light up your local landmark Red for WED to ‘shine a light on encephalitis’. In 2017, they managed to light up Niagara Falls, the CN Tower in Toronto, the Bell Tower in Perth, and Trafalgar Square in London, to name a few!
