As a non-profit organization, we depend on the generosity of donors to help us aid those suffering from AE. We are grateful for every dollar we receive, and we promise to use our resources in ways that are responsible and provide the most good for the greatest number of people. We are committed to transparency and accountability and want donors to know how their dollars are being spent.
For our first three-and-a-half years we were an all-volunteer organization. In June 2016, given the vast increase in those requesting our assistance, we hired our first Executive Director. Your financial support, and a faith in that continued support, made this possible. Our organization has entered a new phase in extending our reach and offering even better resources for patients, their families, and the medical community.
As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, donations to the AEA are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. To learn more about tax-deductible contributions see IRS Publication 526. Our Tax ID number is 46-1584730
The IRS Form 990 is the annual tax return that nonprofits in the U.S. submit to the Internal Revenue Service. It provides detailed information about a nonprofit’s income, expenses, and operational activities, allowing donors to evaluate how effectively the nonprofit is performing. Our 990s are below.
Previous years are available upon request.
