Support Groups bring together patients and caregivers that have been affected by AE. A support group provides an opportunity for patients and caregivers to share personal experiences and feelings, coping strategies, or firsthand information about AE and/or treatments. This support group is led by Therese Fledderjohn (OH). Her son Alex was diagnosed with anti-NMDAR encephalitis after being misdiagnosed for many years.

AE 101

The AE Alliance Support Network is excited to present AE 101 with Dr Dana Mitchell.

AE 101 is the basics about AE. The purpose is to provide a better understanding of AE and the body. This is not about diagnosis and treatment.

This Support Network event includes:

  • AE 101 presented by Dr Dana Mitchell
  • A short break
  • Regional Support Meetings led by Rachael Bikbov (West), Joe Calcagno (Northeast), Therese Fledderjohn (Midwest) and Lisa Lauter (South)
