Did you know that our largest fundraiser is coming up on March 4, 2017, in Durham NC? That’s right, it is time for the 5th annual Florence Forth run/walk, and Family Lunch.  Individuals and teams are welcome. The events in 2016 attracted almost 1500 runners/walkers, 300 volunteers, and 150 family members of those affected by AE. We expect to see those numbers grow this year to 1750 participants in the race alone. Each registered person receives a t-shirt, and finishers receive a medal. Your participation and gifts support the on-going work of the AE Alliance as we connect with patients and their families to offer support and resources that they cannot find anywhere else.

Please register for the race. If you want to make a donation by supporting a team’s fundraising efforts through Crowdrise click here. Note that all donations made to AEA, Florence Forth, and to teams are currently being matched 1:1 because of the generous $25,000 grant from Bob and Suzi Given.

The Family Lunch is open to patients and their immediate families. For the third year, we will gather at The Pit in downtown Durham from noon – 2 p.m. (doors open at 11 a.m.) for lunch and to hear from survivors, families, and those that have lost loved-ones to this disease. The event is free, we however ask those who are able to make a donation to help off-set the costs. Click here to register as an RSVP is required. Please join us for this powerful and healing time together. Note that the Family Lunch and Florence Forth require separate registrations.

Smiling faces all around!
All those who complete the race receive a “Florence Forth Finisher”medal, and a t-shirt.
The crowd awaits the fun.
