Welcome Stanley Naides, Chairman of the Board of Directors

The AE Alliance is pleased to announce Dr. Stanley Naides as Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2024. Stanley joined the AEA Board in July 2022, but his involvement with the Alliance spans several years prior.
In his capacity as the Director of Scientific Affairs at EUROIMMUN US, Stanley was instrumental in forging a partnership between the AE Alliance and EUROIMMUN to sponsor our annual AEA Family Day programming to bring patients and physicians together to celebrate advancements in AE diagnosis, patient care, and much-needed advocacy. He worked closely with the Alliance to establish two annual service awards for an outstanding patient and physician advocate whose efforts were instrumental in advancing public awareness of autoimmune encephalitis. Though Stanley is no longer with EUROIMMUN, the company’s continued partnership with the Alliance in our AEA Family Day program continues today.
Stanley brings a wealth of clinical and research knowledge to his role as Chairman. His extensive experience is outlined in his bio included on the Board of Directors page. We look forward to his fresh perspective and leadership as we continue to serve our AE community. Please join us in welcoming Stanley to his new officer role.

It is an honor to be elected to the chairmanship of the Board of Directors of the Autoimmune Encephalitis Alliance. I look forward to working with the members of the Board of Directors, members of the Medical Advisory Board, providers in the Clinician Network, Alliance staff, and clients in furthering the goals of the Alliance to support research, education, and services for patients and families impacted by autoimmune encephalitis. The 2024 year offers opportunities to strengthen and expand our programs and services. I welcome your participation and input as we move forward together.
