Every week I will share some new details on the 2020 AEA Family weekend because we are revamping this wonderful event!
New in 2020 will be the location; the Museum of Life and Science in Durham, NC. This is a great location for everyone and every age and has so much to offer.
Their outdoor space is most impressive. You can take a walk and come eye-to-eye with wolves and black bears, but there are also goats and chickens on the Farmyard, for the faint of heart. There are dinosaur trails and a big play area. My personal favorite ( I am a child at heart! ) is Hideaway Woods, discovering nature through tree houses, paths, and streams. It will definitely move you!
There are also many fun things to do indoors, from learning about the weather to being surrounded by hundreds of tropical butterflies in the rain forest. I have two daughters and the last time we visited the museum they were 10 and 15. We spend hours designing planes to see who’s would fly the farthest and trying to launch crazy designs up into the air. In short, the museum is fun for everyone.
We will be at the museum on Saturday and you will have time to explore the museum at the beginning and at the end of the day. If you want to join us that weekend, sign up here. #AEAFAMILY #AutoimmuneEncephalitis #AEAAwareness
