Stacey Clardy, MD PHD

Division of Neuroimmunology & Autoimmune Neurology at the University of Utah and a Neurologist at the Salt Lake City VHA

Stacey L. Clardy MD PHD is clinical and research faculty in the Division of Neuroimmunology & Autoimmune Neurology at the University of Utah and a Neurologist at the Salt Lake City VHA, and she also holds an adjunct appointment in Population Health Sciences.  She completed both her MD and PhD, as well as a Post-Doctoral fellowship and Neurology Residency at Penn State in Hershey PA, and her clinical fellowship in Autoimmune Neurology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. 

Dr. Clardy is currently the principal investigator (PI) of an NIH U01 grant (via the NeuroNEXT Clinical Trials Network) supporting the ExTINGUISH Trial—the first prospective, international, and randomized clinical trial for NMDA receptor encephalitis, at over 37 sites with enrollment ongoing. She serves as the Chair of the Autoimmune Neurology Section of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN). She is the current Editor of the Neurology®Podcast and also the Editor of the Neurology Minute™ and a member of the Editorial Board of Neurology: Neuroimmunology & Neuroinflammation, as well as serving on the Publications Committee of the AAN. She is also the director of the biannual Western Intermountain Neurological Organization (WINO) Conference.
