Jenny Linnoila MD PhD

Dr. Linnoila is a clinician scientist with expertise in autoimmune neurology.  She completed the Harvard Neurology Residency Training Program, followed by a clinical fellowship in Autoimmune Neurology at the Mayo Clinic.  She is currently an Associate Professor in Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), where she is the Chief of the Division of Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis and Director of the Autoimmune Neurology Unit. At UPMC, she sees patients with autoimmune and paraneoplastic neurologic disorders, neurosarcoidosis, and other neuroinflammatory disorders, as well as conducts clinical and basic-science research in autoimmune neurology.  Dr. Linnoila has served as an autoimmune neurology abstract and grant reviewer, session moderator, speaker, and course director at the annual & summer American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and American Neurological Association meetings. She also started an Autoimmune Encephalitis Alliance-backed educational and networking dinner, which has become a yearly tradition coinciding with the annual AAN meeting, where many of the world’s experts in autoimmune encephalitis and up-and-coming specialists convene.
