Amanda Piquet, MD

Dr. Piquet is an Associate Professor of Neurology at the University of Colorado where she serves as the director of the Autoimmune Neurology Program and Associate Program Director of the Neuro-Infectious Disease & Autoimmune Neurology Fellowship. She is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University Medical School and completed her Neurology Residency training at Harvard’s program at Massachusetts General Brigham followed by completion of an Autoimmune Neurology and Neuroimmunology Fellowship at the University of Utah.

Her research focuses on autoimmune neurological disorders, including autoimmune encephalitis and stiff person syndrome. At the University of Colorado, she has developed an Autoimmune, Paraneoplastic and Inflammatory Neurological Disease Registry and Biorepository that captures clinical and epidemiological data, patient reported outcomes and blood and cerebrospinal fluid samples for biomarker exploration. Dr. Piquet’s research program seeks to advance our understanding of rare neurological diseases such as autoimmune encephalitis through observational studies, translational studies focused on identifying potential biomarkers associated with treatment outcomes, and innovative clinical trials.
