Benjamin completed his BAppSc (Exercise & Sport Science & Nutrition) in 2007 and MBBS in 2012 (University of Sydney). He completed his specialty training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (Multiple Sclerosis & Neuroimmunology Fellowship), Concord Repatriation General Hospital and St. Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney.
He is in his final year of PhD in Neuroimmunology (University of Sydney), focusing on differentiating MOGAD from other forms of CNS autoimmunity. He has published two first-author articles in high-impact journals on Neuromyelitis Optica and Autoimmune Encephalitis. He delivered an oral platform presentation at the International Society of Neuroimmunology meeting on Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy-related Inflammation.
Benjamin has specialist expertise in diagnosing and managing complex CNS autoimmune disorders including Autoimmune Encephalitis, NMOSD, MOGAD and Neurosarcoidosis.
