“The Healthy Mind Cookbook” by Rebecca Katz

September 8, 2017

Rebecca Katz, a nationally known nutritionist, chef, and speaker has published “The Healthy Mind Cookbook.” Rebecca has collected numerous accolades, including having worked with the nation’s top wellness experts, as well as being featured in The Washington Post, The Atlantic, the Oprah Show, and NPR. She has sorted through the large and growing volume of scientific literature on food and the biochemical basis of how it affects our brains, and applied what she learned to develop this cookbook. Rebecca’s website also features a great foodie blog as well as many free recipes.

It seems that the number of books published on ways to improve the functioning of our brains, including nutrition, gets larger year after year.  Plus, everyone knows the section on healthy eating can take up an entire aisle at the local library or bookstore! Scientific knowledge about the combination of these two fields however, has just started coming out in the past several years. Wouldn’t it be great if there was a magic fruit or tonic that we could consume at breakfast to give us a boost to last the entire day? Unfortunately, sometimes plain old java isn’t enough, but there are ways you can improve diet that have been shown to positively affect brain function, mood, memory, and mental clarity.

Our appreciation to Rebecca Katz for her extensive research in this area, and for permission to use her photos. AEA does not have a relationship with Ms. Katz nor were we compensated for reviewing her book. Like all of our blogs, we hope that this post offers fresh information on the fight against AE.
